The Whitefire Theatre has provided professional training in acting, hosting, new material development, comedy and musical theatre for over 20 years!   Our instructors have included such prestigious professionals as David Arquette, Fred Willard, Kimberly Jentzen, Mark Brunetz,  Moosie Drier, Mary Lou Belli, and Mark L. Walberg.

These are the people that make it happen.

Bryan Rasmussen, Artistic Director, was the recipient of the 2016 Valley Theatre Award for Artistic Director Achievement, and is now in his 14th year as Artistic Director of the Whitefire Theatre. Directing credits include Buried Child, Billie; backstage with Lady Day!, Firehouse, The Bellflower Sessions and over 75 more plays and shorts. He is currently developing theatre projects with Academy Award winner Bobby Moresco. Film and TV acting credits include Agents of Shield, The Mentalist, American Horror Story, Sons of Anarchy, Southland, 24, X-Files, as well as recent films Rampart, Fire Twister, Under the Bed, The Bronx Bull, Threshold, Rehearsal, and Nine Eleven. Bryan is a proud member of the Actors Gym.

Brandon Loeser, Technical Director, In addition to being a technical director, Brandon is an actor, stuntman, and comedian. He has appeared on Westworld, Grimm, Scorpion, Superstore, True Blood, Justified, The Dark Knight, Changeling, and numerous times on Conan. He is most proud of being involved in the critically-acclaimed show “Santasia”, now in it’s 21st year! Details at www.Santasia.com

Derrick McDaniel, Lighting Designer, credits include: The Vortex Malibu Playhouse, Blood Brothers,  Whitefire Theater,  Among The Thugs" Odyssey Theater, Broken Fences  Road Theater on Magnolia - and many others.  Derrick won the LA Weekly Award 2012 for lighting for Mercy Seat at the Inside the Ford.  He was nominated for a 2008 Ovation Award for The Shelter at the Odyssey and for Lady at Road Theater; and a 2008 Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award for On an Average Day at Elephant Lab.  Derrick was recently featured in the Artist Profiles section of @ThisStage Magazine.  He has been a resident lighting designer at the Whitefire Theater since 1995. 

Jake O’Flaherty, Producer, began his career as a member of SAG/AFTRA/AEA in 1996 with commercials and voice-overs. He has appeared on TV in: Criminal Minds,  Dr Ken, Days of Our Lives, Lifetimes, My Haunted House, Alright Already, Grounded For Life, King of Queens, and CSI: NY.  Theatre includes: The Diviners, Last of The Red Hot Lovers, Bedrooms etc. He is also a teacher and coach.   www. jakeoflaherty.com

Neda Ganjeh Tabe, Front of House Manager, is the rock in organizing and managing the box office. Through her tireless efforts, she has put together a smooth running system for the Front of the House, which is crucial to the theatre experience and holding our standards in the realm of top quality professionalism
